About accomodations:
At the Fernery:
We will have three bedrooms for students. Each bedroom has its own bath and two twin beds. The three bedrooms are above the garage, so if you stay you will need to be able to navigate stairs several times a day. We will help you with luggage.
There will be a common area outside the bedrooms where guests can eat or gather for a chat. A refrigerator and microwave are in the common area. There will be an internet connection.
Students who stay with us are welcome to use the studio whenever they wish. If you work in the studio after dark (or before dawn) you may wish to bring a flashlight to navigate between the garage and studio. We plan to have solar lighting, but that may not always be enough light for everyone. We are not near other houses or a town, so it gets pretty dark! Which is great if you like looking at the stars...
We provide three meals a day, snacks, and an evening porch party. We will be serving fresh food from our own garden, and local farms.
A full day, which includes room and board, is $90.
If you prefer, we can suggest several lovely B&Bs in the area, as well as hotels.
During weeks with no workshops, we offer work/stay programs. If you want to explore the local area, come stay with us, work 4 hours a day, and stay free. Please email us at: info@thefernery.com
