This is such a beautiful area of Florida! Some classes will include field trips to De Leon Springs, for hiking and a boat ride (and make your own pancakes at the restaurant!). There are bird watching trails near by, but just in our neighborhood we boast at least 6 breeding pairs of sandhill cranes, numerous red tailed hawks, and bald eagles. If want to see how different wild turkey are from the turkeys breed for eating, you can see that in our neighborhood.
There are horse stablesnearby if you are interested in horse back riding. Whether you ride a bike, a horse, or an atv, there are a lot of beautiful places and wildlife for your pleasure and artistic opportunities.
First day of summer, 2008. There are at least 6 breeding pairs of Sandhill Cranes locally. This adult and one child is only a few yards from the mate and another chick. They are magestic creatures. We are so lucky to have some really great bird life in our area.
Take a boat trip along the St. John's River to Lake George. Relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the river.
